Hi there, I'm Kerissa Lyman!
I'm passionate about educating, supporting, and advocating for Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) autism profile and positive authentic autistic identity.
As late-diagnosed autistic women and mother of 2 autistic children, I have a lot of experience to share.
Driven by a deep need to understand my autistic children and my own autistic identity I have read books, articles, other blogs and taken many trainings and courses to help increase my understanding of the autistic experience and how to live authentically autistic. I have spent countless hours participating in therapy with my own children to learn how to support and accommodate them. Each day we strive to be the true individuals we were created to be. We are Living the Lyman way.
I am co-owner of Journeys With PDA and a Certified PDA trainer. I want to use my accumulation of knowledge and my lived experience to help educate and support others.
Through Living Lyman Consulting, LLC I am available for family coaching, consulting with teachers, and professionals, presentations and public speaking.
Whether you need help navigating the day to day, understanding autistic characteristics, Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) profile characteristics, help with a Low Demand Lifestyle, behavior troubleshooting or just emotional support I am here to help.
My primary passions are educating and advocating for better understanding of the autistic experience, positive autistic identity and supporting Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA).
If you are in need of support you can contact me directly or schedule a coaching session.
